Casa de Esteiró:
Near Caminha, the rural tourism house Casa de Esteiró its surrounded by an idilic
and peaceful garden. This 18th Century Manor House its located in the river Minho
mouth, near the beach, and surrounded by a medieval forest.
The rural tourism house Casa de Esteiró is situated 1 km to the south of Caminha, at
the River Minho mouth, in one of the most beautiful regions of Portugal, only at a
few minutes walk from the river and the sea.
Casa do Casal:
Casa do Casal is a late 20th century manor house with large gardens and views of
the Minho river. The property, with 2.000 sqm, is located in Seixas, just outside
Caminha and is crossed by an ancient Camino de Santiago.
Family owned, built from an ancient ruin in the early eighties, it has a particular
sense of place feeling that is brought by the surrounding nature and atmosphere.
We can find and cross with chickens, ducks, pheasants, a large cage of canaries…
There’s a vegetable garden that supplies the farm, quiet nooks for reading and
contemplation, a sunny swimming pool and lots of orange and lemon trees.
Location
The beauty, harmony, quietness and invigorating sense of place feeling must be referred. Complementary to the high quality waves available to surf. Coming from South, we found five sandy bottom beaches. But in fact, we can find 12 peaks with great surf conditions, depending on
the swell direction, wind and tide hours.
Common to all of them, we have sandy bottoms, an average air temperature of 26ºC, and an average water temperature of 16ºC. The quality of the water is very good, awarded every years for its cleanliness, as well as the sand itself. We can find both lefts and rights to surf, an
average of 60 meters surfable waves. There are exceptions, for better…
We can find hollow waves, easy waves, fast and clean waves. The swells are consistent, quick and with a precise direction. Either we can find heavy water as smooth waves as well. There are all year to round waves, despite the swell size differs from season to season. From
November to April, the average size is 5 to 6 ft.; from May to October is 2 to 5 ft..

In the gardens there is a separate house which has been converted into three self
catering apartments. Two of these have two bedrooms each and the other is a
studio apartment.
In the modern annex, located in the outstanding gardens and woods which
surround Casa de Esteiró, we have two apartments for four people, consisting of
two bedrooms, one sitting room, kitchenette and a bathroom, as well as a terrace.
We also offer a “studio” for two people, with kitchenette, bathroom and a terrace.
All the apartments have central heating.

Just before the border with Spain,
Moledo. A beach with some 3 kms long,
on the rivermouth of Minho, a natural
border. On the mid tides, a long and
consistent left runs through the middle of
the beach till the river. On the left side of
the beach, all kind of waves are
available for discover.
Âncora
Level: All Levels
Vila Praia de Âncora. On
the rivermouth, two great peaks of lefts
and rights. The pier located at north
provides a sustainable bottom and a
consistent right.
Afife
Level: All Levels
The beaches of Arda and Afife are
bordering themselves. This spots have a
great reputation for its wave variety,
available for all kind of surfers. Works all
year to round, although the best season is
between March – October.

The best time to surf Porto is between Spring through to Autumn. It's main surf beach is Matosinhos beach, the best surf spot in Porto for beginner and intermediates. Its a long 1km sandy beach with a few different points on it. The set up is a mix of beach break and reef break and parts of it are sheltered so it handles larger swell. Easy to get to and consistent.
Next to Matosinhos is International Beach. A lovely spot that begins where the city park ends. Its also a great learner spot, and a great place to hang out both during day and at night. Further north is Leca, a very consistent beach break protected by the harbour.
In and around the city there are small little beaches all worth exploring, particularly for the more advanced surfers wanting to discover the best Porto surf breaks.
There are more surf breaks further south including Barra do Porto and Miramar and then 20km south of Porto are the towns of Esphino and Esmoriz. Its arguably the North's most famous surf area and the beaches have a real nice surf culture. The area's 3 main beaches are Silvade, beach, Blue beach and Baia beach. A mix of sandy beach breaks and reef spots that suit beginner and advanced. Hang around and score some long barreling right & left handers all to yourself.

- Your balance is due to the property 20 days before arrival. The Property will contact you to collect payment. If you book within this 20 days then the property will contact you shortly after you book to collect the balance.
CANCELLING YOUR BOOKING
- To cancel go to the MyAccount section and log in or register and you can cancel from within your account.
- Your deposit is non refundable but can be used for the same property/surf school within one year of your original booking.
- Lost of 50% booking deposit which remains valid for one year from date of payment Also the following cancellation fees may apply: - Within 30 days prior to arrival: 25% of remaining value - Within 7 days prior to arrival: 50% of remaining value - Within 1 day prior to arrival: 100% of remaining value
