The Surf House As Furnas was opened in the year 2012. Surrounded by a mountain range, which provides a unique view of the Atlantic coast, together with its beautiful and comfortable interior, the Surf House is the ideal place for an unforgettable vacation.
It offers four rooms with a double bed and two rooms with two single beds, each room with a private bathroom. On the ground floor there is an exclusively furnished community kitchen, laundry room, comfortable dining room, and a cozy living room with tv and dvd to having direct access to one of the two spacious sun terraces.
The entire house has wireless Internet access, as well as DVDs, books, games and detailed tourist information about the various activities and excursions in the area.The extensive garden has a swimming pool, lots of green space and its own little forest has plenty of space to practice yoga, play a football game or just relax in one of the hammocks.
If you want you can also order dinner; a two course menu with fresh products from the region and dessert.
We also offer surf lessons for all levels, surf guiding, surf transport and material rental; yoga lessons, massages, horse riding and Spanish langage courses. The area around the Surf House also offers a wide range of activities and excursions; f.e.:beach volleyball, fishing, snorkeling, rock climbing, SUP, kayak, and more.

Location
The Surf House As Furnas is located in the northern Spanish region of Galicia, in the small village of Xuño, on the western Atlantic coast.
The Atlantic climate and fertile soil create a green Spain, with lush meadows and forests, and the coastline is known for its miles of sandy beaches and secluded coves.
The good Galician cousine is one of its tourist pillars. The excellent quality and variety of local products serve as a basis for diverse delicacies and dishes. The people are friendly and the area around the Surf House is completely untouched by mass tourism.
The place Xuño, with its nearly 1,000 inhabitants, is located midway between the Atlantic and the mountain range of Barbanza, just a 5 minutes walk to the two beaches As Furnas and Rio Sieira.
The Surf House is located in the hills at the foot of the mountain A Curota, which offers a variety of routes for both cycling and hiking. The view from the top is unique, ranging from the islands of Cies up to Finisterre, also known as the end of the world.

Beginner Surf Lessons
The surf courses are exclusively in small groups (max. 7 people). This allows us to respond individually to our participants and thus, a faster learning in a friendly atmosphere is guaranteed. The provided surfing equipment is in perfect condition and comply with the latest safety standards. All beaches are about a one to 15 minute drive from each other.
Intermediate Surf Lessons
You are going from the Surf House together with our surf instructors to a nearby beach where you are going to have a total of 3 hours of class a day, divided into 2 units.
Prices of the courses include transportation, equipment and class.
Advanced Surf Lessons
• Detailed theoretical and practical lessons
• Information about each surf spots
• The right surfboard and wetsuit, matching both your surf level and your body proportions
• Professional surf lessons with qualified surf instructors (Licensed by the International Surfing Association ISA or the Galician Surf federation.)

Yoga
The yoga classes are always designed to complement surf lessons. The classes are once a day and outdoor on our beautiful yoga platform in the middle of our own little forest. We only work with experienced and qualified yoga teachers who know exactly what constitutes the right combination of stretching, breathing and concentration, and relaxation.

- Your balance is due to the property 14 days before arrival. The Property will contact you to collect payment. If you book within this 14 days then the property will contact you shortly after you book to collect the balance.
CANCELLING YOUR BOOKING
- To cancel go to the MyAccount section and log in or register and you can cancel from within your account.
- Your deposit is non refundable but can be used for the same property/surf school within one year of your original booking.
- If a customer cancels anytime up to14 days before travelling you will refund the balance to them. If you have not collected payment from them you will just not charge them.

Best experience ever! Lots of fun and enough privacy in the same time. Everything is perfect: teaching, people, rooms, house area, little forest in front of the house. Definitely recommend it!

The surf around Xuno is pretty epic. No crowds, spots for any wind and swell direction - Loved it! My girlfriend was pretty stoked on the surf-school program at Surfhouse As Furnas too. Felt like a surf-trip turning into a family affair with nice accommodation, great breakfast and the beautiful people in town. Would definitely recommend a stay!

Toller Surfurlaub in traumhafter Umgebung. Kathi ist eine tolle Gastgeberin, gute Köchin und noch bessere Surflehrerin. Das Surfhouse As Furnas ist wunderschön angelegt, mit tollem Garten und Pool. In der Nähe befinden sich mehrere Surfspots die alle innerhalb weniger Autominuten zu erreichen sind. Jeden Tag werden die Spots mit den besten Bedingungen angefahren. Die Strände sind sehr leer und auch die Line Ups nie zu voll. Nicht zu vergleichen mit Frankreich oder Portugal. Die Surfgruppen sind sehr klein gehalten, sodass man wirklich Fortschritte machen kann. Nach dem Surfen bietet Kathi Yoga und Massagen an. Jeden Abend kann man aus 2 Menüs zum Abendessen wählen, wenn man im Surfhaus essen möchte. Ich habe eine tolle Woche bei Kathi verbracht und würde am liebsten gleich wieder hinfahren!

It was a wonderful surf experience at Kathy’s surfhouse. I rarely saw someone being that careful with her guests, at the exact point between gentleness, disponibility and professionalism. The surfhouse offers everything a surfer (or a wannabe surfer) can dream of: very good surf equipment and advise from Kathy, high quality yoga classes and massajes from Sina and top of the class accommodation. Loved it !
