Situated close to the tip of the South, it is a convenient distance from the famous tourist sites in Galle, Kandy, Sinharaja, Kataragama and Yala.
Ahangama is less than 3 hours from Sir Lanka's main international airport, Bandaranaike in Columbo, via the newly constructed Southern Highway.
We highly recommend airport transfer which is by far the fastest and smoothest way of getting here. The transfer will cost 100€ and will take up to 4 people/Taxi, it will take 3 hours,
For the hardcore ones, you can make your own way by bus or train, it will be a bit more tricky though. You need to get either a Taxi or Tuk Tuk to Negombo, from there you take a bus to Matara followed by another bus to Ahangama or the train to Ahangama.
Please note bringing surfboard with you on bus, train might not be allowed or charged you extra for it.
