A typical Portuguese family beach summer house converted into a cosy,kitch surf house.
The house can accommodate up to 30 guests in 8 splendid private ensuite rooms.
It also has a big garden with a tennis court and swimming pool where you can store your boards, wash & dry your wetsuit, relax and barbecue with friends and other guests.
Surf/SUP/KiteSurf lessons, guiding,shop and equipment is all available on site.We are primarily focused on the sports of kiteboarding, surfing and Paddlesurf, our favourite things to do!

Location
Manawa Camp is located in Charneca da Caparica, only 15 minutes south of Lisbon. Costa da Caparica is a beautiful place and offers some of Europe’s best conditions all year around for practicing water sports.

At Manawa’s surf Camp & School our objective it’s exclusively teaching and promote the sport of Surfing,Kite and Stand up Paddle. We teach on Costa da Caparica since 2000, a long stretch of uninterrupted sandy beach border by dunes and an extensive pine grove.We have a private beach with 300m (the biggest in Portugal)! Beginner Surf Lessons
Each lessons is 2hrs including equipment. We will fast track the learning curve from simply standing on a wave to really surfing.Surfing is easy and like all things good, just takes a little practice to perfect. If you get the right advice from a surf school instructor in the early days with professional surf coaching, surf lessons or private surf instruction, you will fast track the learning cur
SUP Lessons
Each lessons is 1hr30mins. We get your feet on the board and onto the learning curve!Stand up paddle boarding is one of the fastest growing water sports in the Word. Costa da Caparica is one of the best locations to discover this new exhilarating experience. Stand up paddle surfing is a traditional Hawaiian sport which promotes balance, strength and general fitness.
Beginner Kite Surfing
Entry level, no experienced, discover kitesurfing!
In the first part of this lesson, you will learn about safety and wind theory.
You will be taken though the steps of equipment set-up, launching, and landing.
Then you will go through the steps of piloting a 4 line modern kite
Each lesson is an hour.
Intermediate Kite Surfing
For those who want to progress quickly, there will always be an instructor with you helping / correcting details giving you always the feedback at the right time. This is why we have the maximum limit of 1 student per instructor,managing to give him all the attention he deserves.

Downtown Lisbon city itself does not have a beach and walking around siteseeing you may be oblivious to the fact that dozens of beautiful white sandy surf beaches are only a 5 minute car drive away (Or 4 train stops!)
The surrounding beaches pick up all the swells the Atlantic have to offer making it one of the most consistent surf destinations in the World.
The area has a good selection for all standards. Closest to the city would be Caxias & Santo Amaro de Oeiras. Caxias is a beautiful beach that on its day can produce perfect lefthander barrels. Oeiras is more of a winter wave and is one of the best waves in Portugal.
Next stop is Carcavelos, probably Portugal's most famous wave. Its one of the best beach breaks in Europe and regularly hosts National competitions. It suits all standards, a perfect place to learn and a great place to score some fast beach barrels with multiple peaks along the 1km stretch of beach.
There are many other spots along the coastline that runs from Lisbon out to Estoril & Cascais. Long boarders will love Sao Pedro and short boarders will thrive on spots like Poca and Sao Joao. Then on the other side of Cascais there is the stunning long white sandy Guincho beach, one of Portugal's most consistent surf spots, usually best in the morning as it can be exposed to afternoon onshore winds.
Across the river Tejo in Setubal, a 20 minute drive away, is the less crowded Costa de Caparica. Perfect for beginner/intermediates as the man made jetties create nice consistent waves. The beach stretches for 30kms and all of it is surfable!
Lisbon is also a great base to explore other regions. The surf mecca of Ericeira is only 35 minutes drive away and 1 hour north is Peniche, host of the WSL World Tour every October.

The accommodation is fine and very suitable for young people who are adventurous. Nothing to criticize the bathroom very strong jet of water, very spacious a detail glasses for washing teeth unavailable, at any Chinese shop they are very cheap to buy The general kitchen also fine and clean. Spacious terrace with a beautiful pool. Beaches at a 15 min by car and all possibilities to make trips to Lisbon. The host and owner of the Camp are fantastic though he is always very busy. Very helpful housekeeping staff.
